FUNDACION ROBERTA FELIX

Love in action for special children!

The Roberta Felix Foundation is an organization that develops services for handicapped children in rural communities of Costa Rica. Most of these special children have few options in terms of getting the support they need. In addition to this support for handicapped children, they also develop and support programs for children with learning disabilities and for children who live in poverty and also they operate a special education school and therapy center.

They also organize donations and distribute such items as diapers, clothing, food, glasses, hearing aids, wheelchairs and many other needed items to the children who are registered in the foundation. The Roberta Felix Foundation also acts as an advocate to bring legal, medical, and dental support to the handicapped children who live in the counties of Aguirre and Parrita. Currently, we assist approximately 150 children with diverse handicaps and their families. With limited resources, we are able to improve the quality of life for the handicapped children in our community.
